The Norwegian Humanist Association decided in 2005 to establish a separate youth organization. "Humanist Youth" (Humanistisk Ungdom) was founded in August 2007, and is the association for humanists between the age of 15 and 26.
Currently Mrs. Helene Kleppestø is President of the Board.
All the members of the Humanist Youth are also members of the Norwegian Humanist Association.
Norwegian Humanist Youth is a meeting place for young people who base their life stance on humanist values.
The Association will work to develop humanism and contribute to ensuring that young people may practise and discuss their humanist life stance.
The Norwegian Humanist Association is a member of the The International Humanist and Ethical Youth Organisation (IHEYO). IHEYO is devoted to promoting the spread of humanism among young people, and is working together with many groups and individuals around the world.
