Welcome to Norway and the 18th Humanist World Congress in 2011!
The International Humanist and Ethical Union (IHEU) have granted the Norwegian Humanist Association (HEF) the honour of hosting this congress.
Two previous congresses have been arranged in Norway, in 1962 and 1986.
The congress will be held in Oslo, at the Oslo Congress Centre.
Dates for the congress will be from Friday 12 to Sunday 14 August 2011.
The first program details are available on the congress website: www.human.no/oslo2011. A more detailed programme will be available in the summer of 2010, and registration will start shortly after. The final programme and congress agenda will be available during late spring 2011.
We will offer a professional venue and hotel accommodation in several price ranges. We also hope to offer affordable accommodation for youth and visitors on a low budget.
Further information will be available on the website in due course.
Travel grants
There will be some travel grants available for representatives of Humanist organizations in the developing world and from other small organizations.
The grants will cover parts of the actual travel cost, and all participants will have to pay the congress fee and for accommodation.
More information will be available in the early autumn of 2010.
